Here's yet another update on that Canadian border shootout story below. The incident at the Blaine, Washington border crossing is causing the Canadian government to re-think their "NO GUNS" policy for their border security people. “These inspectors are unarmed at the port,” said a Canadian Border Union official. “They're very concerned about their health and safety and they walked off the job, previous to the incident occurring.” Not really a great moment in Canadian history, eh? Fortunately the two murder suspects never quite made it into Canada. Two officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection set up a road block, stood their ground as the suspects sped toward them, and fired several shots hitting one of the suspects in the neck and stopping the vehicle just 3 feet short of the border.
