Fortunate Sons

The Democrats would like the world to forget that THEY were calling for a war with Iraq before they decided to re-write history and claim that it was only Bush who lied. Don't believe me?... then watch the freak'n video! But ever since they all flip flopped on the war, they've been trying to convince us that the war in Iraq is "just like Viet Nam". So in an effort to prove that point, Rep. Charles Rangel D-N.Y. today said he will introduce legislation to reinstate the military draft, asserting that current troop levels are insufficient to sustain possible challenges against Iran, North Korea and Iraq. - story "If we're going to challenge Iran and challenge North Korea and then, as some people have asked, to send more troops to Iraq, we can't do that without a draft," Rangel said. "There's no question in my mind that this president and this administration would never have invaded Iraq, especially on the flimsy evidence that was presented to the Congress, if indeed we had a draft and members of Congress and the administration thought that their kids from their communities would be placed in harm's way," I guess Charlie doesn't realize there ARE members of Congress with children in the Military, and there are fighting men and women from nearly EVERY community in the country already serving... as VOLUNTEERS. But the beauty of this idea is that the liberal voters were all so convinced it was President Bush that was going to reinstate the Draft. HA!... Suckers! My son joined the Washington ARMY National Guard at 17 years old, when he was a junior in High School. BEFORE we were attacked on September 11th, 2001. He's already served a year in Iraq with the 81st BCT and is about to complete his time in the service of his country. But what about YOUR sons?... Who did YOU vote for?...
