Hook, Line and Sinker

The 2006 election is over and the Liberals have taken over. So finally President Bush can reveal his 'Exit Strategery' for Iraq. "The ball's in YOUR court now, suckers!" Donald Rumsfeld stepped down as Secretary of Defense in a pre-emptive move. So that pretty much submarines the Dem's 'necktie party' for this weekend. And it's too late to send back all that rope they ordered from Mobs R Us. Rumsfeld is being replaced by former CIA director Robert Gates. But it will be at least two years before the Dem's let Gates through the confirmation hearings, and by then Bush is home free. So now the Democrats have two years where they had better keep the economy an employment up, and both have nowhere to go from here but down. They have to get more 'boots on the ground' to clean up that mess in Iraq they all voted for. That probably means re-instating THE DRAFT. Not to mention they have only until next Thursday to sign the Kyoto Accord and stop Global Warming in its tracks. Their plate is FULL, baby!... I would hate to be in their shoes. Two years... Two years and they don't even have a plan yet. Then who will they have to blame? The Republicans who got the boot last night were the worst we had. Nobody is going to miss them. They were an Albatross about the neck of the GOP and would have made it much more difficult to get a Republican elected President in 2008. So let the Dem's think they won last night. Let them eat, drink and be merry. The GOP has just been purged of any dead weight and cancer of corruption that could bite them in the ass down the road. But the Democrats still have people like Kennedy, Gore, Dean, and Kerry to keep looking foolish and grabbing the headlines for the next two years. Party On, Dudes!
