Let The Games Begin!

Nancy Pelosi was elected Speaker of the House by the newly elected Democratic Congress. This should be the really BIG story, since she is the first woman ever to be chosen for that position. If the next President and Vice President were to die in some mysterious way, then SHE would be President of the United States. DOH! You suppose Hillary is sweat'n right about now? But the BIGGER story is that her hand-picked successor as the Democratic party leader, John Murtha, was soundly beat out of that position (149 votes to 86) by Rep. Steny Hoyer. So it looks like Murtha will be redeployed to Okinawa, or at least to the 'little kids table' with John Kerry, for Thanksgiving dinner.
