Brain Freeze

According to Canadian movie critic, Isa Tousignant, Hollywood blew it this time. They could have used the animated movie "Ice Age 2: The Meltdown" as yet another chance to blame Bush for 'Global Warming' back before time began. But Hollywood is apparently too conservative;
"The poison 20th Century Fox has chosen to peddle this time could have come direct from a Bible-thumping Bush address."

"What could have been an interesting opportunity to educate kiddies about the sorry state of our planet and the dire need for all of us to preserve it is instead, incredibly, a fatalistic reaffirmation that, somehow, God will prevail."
I can't wait till it's on Pay Per View.

The Specter Trackback Policy

Most of the things I choose to write about in my blog come from my own head. They are my own thoughts and ideas, my personal views on a subject, things that strike me as odd or funny, and my own opinions. I publish these thoughts in my blog for other people to read,.. or not. It’s their choice.

I also read a lot of other news sites and other blogs by other people.
I might just post a quick link to a news story I want my readers to know about, or I may choose to write about a subject that was brought to my attention by somebody else. When that is the case, I will either quote that person, give them a ‘hat tip’, or acknowledge them in some way, usually with a hyperlink to their website, blog, or news article.

If I later read another blog that has written about the same subject I have already written about and published myself, I may send them a trackback ping to my own blog post. I do this so they will know that somebody is actually reading their work and possibly has a similar opinion, and also to further the discussion on a particular subject. I'd like to think that they take this as a compliment. But this practice has resulted in my being chastised on occasion.

It seems there is some sort of perceived ‘Trackback Etiquette’ that says it is not polite to leave a trackback without also putting a hyperlink to the trackbacked article in your own blog post. This means I would have to go back and edit my original post just to add that link and then re-publish my blog. All this just to stroke the other blogger's ego. This, to me, is like giving somebody a thumbs-up and then having them demand that you include them in your family Christmas photo too. It's like celebrities charging their fans for an autograph.

I understand that leaving a trackback on another person’s blog may result in somebody finding their way back to my blog and reading my post too. But isn’t that what a free and open society is all about? Sharing ideas and 'networking' is what makes the internet so great.

If you have something to say or add about one of my blog posts, then by all means post a comment or track back to me. I’d love to ‘track back’ and visit your site and read your own original thoughts on the subject that we’re both writing about. And you don’t even have to include a link back to me.
Because I’m not an attention whore.

Invasion Of The Copy Snatchers

Jill Carroll, a freelance reporter for the Christian Science Monitor, was recently released after months of captivity in Iraq. Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post points out that there are questions about Carroll's captivity.

"Carroll seemed bent on giving her captors a positive review, going on about how well they treated her, how they gave her food and let her go to the bathroom. And they never threatened to hit her.

Of course, as we all saw in those chilling videos, they did threaten to kill her. And they shot her Iraqi translator to death."
While I am willing to cut her some slack for now, I'm sticking to my earlier conspiracy theory about the curious catch and release tactics of these alleged kidnappers. Could she be 'one of them'?

But imagine just for a moment... that our soldiers released a prisoner from that 'hell hole' they run down at GITMO. Imagine he then told reporters how great it was, and how kind the soldiers were to him while he was detained.
Do you think the media would buy that?

Michelle Malkin makes the point that the media likes to use the PC term "Undocumented" when referring to what are actually illegal immigrants, workers and students in this country. But in reality, they have more documentation than a lot of legal citizens. Most of it is fake of course, which is yet another crime. But you won't ever hear the media call them "criminals". Below are just a few examples of faked, forged, conterfeit, illegal documents taken from these "undocumented" people in our own state.

What do you suppose would happen to you or I if we got caught with bogus documentation in another country?.. Or even this one?..

I See Red People

I have a conspiracy theory of my own.

I think many of these alleged kidnappings in Iraq have been staged as a way to undermine our efforts there.

The latest group of Christian Peace Workers was just rescued by US and British forces. But did they have anything good to say about the people who saved their asses?

HELL NO!.. Instead they blamed them for their being kidnapped in the first place.
"We believe that the illegal occupation of Iraq by Multinational Forces is the root cause of the insecurity which led to this kidnapping and so much pain and suffering in Iraq. The occupation must end."
I also believe that, just like suicide bombers, some of these activists are willing to sacrifice one or more of their members to help their cause.

I think Nick Berg was a willing participant in his own kidnapping. OK.. maybe his beheading came as a surprise to him, but some of the facts of his disappearance never made a lot of sense to me. Berg's father wasted no time in jumping on the Bush Bashing Bandwagon, and as of Monday, he was still out there with the Cindy Sheehan traveling circus.

Remember that Italian Journalist who was taken hostage. She was also rescued but got her rescuer killed by US troops when they refused to stop their speeding car with no headlights at a US military check point. She made a point to use this incident to try and inflame anti American sentiment.

If you take the time to follow the links you will notice that Michael Berg, Cindy Sheehan and Giuliana Sgrena all have ties to Communism.

Let It Shine

Here's a good example of why I spend hours each day working on
this little blog of mine.

Yesterday President Bush was responding to a question, a plea rather,
from the wife of a soldier who just returned from Iraq. She offered him several DVDs showing the positive things happening in Iraq, and wondered if he could somehow make the media show them to the public.

Bush then explained to her why he would never tell the media what stories to cover.

"One of the things that we've got to value is the fact that we do have a media, free media, that's able to do what they want to do"....

"I just got to keep talking. And one of the -- there's word of mouth, there's blogs, there's Internet, there's all kinds of ways to communicate which is literally changing the way people are getting their information. And so if you're concerned, I would suggest that you reach out to some of the groups that are supporting the troops, that have got Internet sites, and just keep the word -- keep the word moving. And that's one way to deal with an issue without suppressing a free press. We will never do that in America. I mean, the minute we start trying to suppress our press, we look like the Taliban. The minute we start telling people how to worship, we look like the Taliban. And we're not interested in that in America. We're the opposite. We believe in freedom. And we believe in freedom in all its forms. And obviously, I know you're frustrated with what you're seeing, but there are ways in this new kind of age, being able to communicate, that you'll be able to spread the message that you want to spread."

Un-Able Danger?

There was a news report in the Chicago Tribune yesterday about how the National Guard is short of vital equipment here at home because most of it was left over in Iraq.
"Overall, the Guard has only 34 percent of the equipment it is supposed to have, according to Guard officials and the GAO numbers. Congress has approved about $23 billion for the Guard over the next six years, most of which will go to replace equipment. But many of the governors, as well as Lt. Gen. Steven Blum, chief of the National Guard bureau, have said it will take at least double that amount to effectively re-outfit the badly cannibalized force."
Here are a few facts about the ARMY National Guard that most people don't know...

Two of seven Special Forces Groups are in the Army National Guard.
50% of the Army's Infantry Battalions are in the Army National Guard.
51% of the Army's Armored Battalions are in the Army National Guard.
33% of the Army's Armored Cavalry Regiments are in the Army National Guard.
62% of the Army's Field Artillery Battalions are in the Army National Guard.
49% of the Army's Air Defense Artillery assets are in the Army National Guard.
49% of the Army's Mechanized Infantry forces are in the Army National Guard.
50% of the Army's Combat Engineers are in the Army National Guard.
59% of the Army's Medium Helicopter Companies are in the Army National Guard.

It's high time that the National Guard got the same attention and respect as the 'regular' services. After all, they get sent to the same wars, serve longer tours of duty, and can just killed just as dead as any regular ARMY soldier, Marine, NAVY or Air Force member serving their country.

You can find out more about the ARMY National Guard by visiting the National Guard Website

Wild Thing, You Make Everything Groovy

The list of televison shows I can't watch anymore was already pretty short.
And I just had to cross "Two and a Half Men" off the list.

All because actor Charlie Sheen had to open his big yap
and tell us all that the events of 9-11 were not what they appear to be.
"Actor Charlie Sheen has joined a growing army of other highly credible public figures in questioning the official story of 9/11 and calling for a new independent investigation of the attack and the circumstances surrounding it."
So, things in this country have gotten so bad that now even Charlie Sheen, a well known drug abuser, is considered to be a 'highly credible public figure'.

And yet, some people still wonder why I vote the way I do.

Move Over Kreskin

We just watched the season premier of South Park.
And just as I predicted
in my earlier post, The character 'Chef', who used to be voiced by Isaac Hayes, returned to the show just long enough to be killed off in a horrible accident, prompting the boys to say,
"You killed Chef, You Bastards!".

Isaac Hayes had quit the show in a huff after South Park lampooned his
so-called religion of Scientology in one of the episodes last season.

Actor Tom Cruise, another member of Scientology, reportedly pressured the network to not rerun the episode in question, which put South Park creators on the path of 'Vengeance', which resulted in tonight's episode and the death of 'Chef'.

ClooneyGate!

George Clooney supposedly wrote the following essay at the HuffingtonPost.com.

But it turns out, according to The New York Times,
that Arianna Huffington faked it.

HUFFINGTONPOST.COM - March 12, 2006 -

I am a liberal. And I make no apologies for it. Hell, I'm proud of it.

Too many people run away from the label. They whisper it like you'd whisper "I'm a Nazi." Like it's dirty word. But turn away from saying "I'm a liberal" and it's like you're turning away from saying that blacks should be allowed to sit in the front of the bus, that women should be able to vote and get paid the same as a man, that McCarthy was wrong, that Vietnam was a mistake. And that Saddam Hussein had no ties to al-Qaeda and had nothing to do with 9/11.

This is an incredibly polarized time (wonder how that happened?). But I find that, more and more, people are trying to find things we can agree on. And, for me, one of the things we absolutely need to agree on is the idea that we're all allowed to question authority. We have to agree that it's not unpatriotic to hold our leaders accountable and to speak out.

That's one of the things that drew me to making a film about Murrow. When you hear Murrow say, "We mustn't confuse dissent with disloyalty" and "We can't defend freedom at home by deserting it at home," it's like he's commenting on today's headlines.

The fear of been criticized can be paralyzing. Just look at the way so many Democrats caved in the run up to the war. In 2003, a lot of us were saying, where is the link between Saddam and bin Laden? What does Iraq have to do with 9/11? We knew it was bullshit. Which is why it drives me crazy to hear all these Democrats saying, "We were misled." It makes me want to shout, "Fuck you, you weren't misled. You were afraid of being called unpatriotic."

Bottom line: it's not merely our right to question our government, it's our duty. Whatever the consequences. We can't demand freedom of speech then turn around and say, But please don't say bad things about us. You gotta be a grown up and take your hits.

I am a liberal. Fire away.
When will these people understand that they can't just make false accusations, fake documents, re-write history, and expect it all to be OK?

Now They've Gone Too Pon Far!

Cruise Control

There is a report out that Tom Cruise has weighed in on the South Park vs Scientology story that I mentioned the other day.
The report says that Cruise is putting the squeeze on executives at Paramount Pictures which are owned by Viacom, to NOT show the episode in question again. It was scheduled to rerun on Wednesday night on Comedy Central, but was mysteriously pulled at the last minute. Cruise's actions, of course, have only brought them all more attention.
And maybe that was the idea.

Shooting Pavlov's Dog

I miss the good old days. Back when I could watch TV or listen to music and not have to worry about somebody pissing me off. But these days there is always somebody ready to use his or her time on camera or on stage who feels compelled to straighten me out.

I don’t remember my Pastor ever belting out a show tune, I never had a coach try to explain a math equation, and I don’t know if Albert Einstein ever taught anyone how to catch a fish. Instead, they all stuck with what they knew how to do, and never presumed to give advice about things they didn’t fully understand.

So what makes celebrities, entertainers, comedians, or Hollywood script writers think they must preach to us or educate us about what is wrong with this country and the world? Has anyone actually seen George Clooney’s degree in Political Science? Can you show me the words ‘U.N. Ambassador’ anywhere on Barbra Steisand’s resume’? Just imagine if Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld showed up to direct an episode of ‘ER’.

And yet it seems that my personal choices of TV shows and music I can listen to have been narrowed down these last few years. I used to love Tim Robbins movies and the Dixie Chicks. I watched ‘ER’ and the ‘Law and Order’ series too. But they just couldn’t keep their politics to themselves and I got fed up and turned them off.

And they don’t get it. They don’t understand why they can’t be allowed to piss off half their fan base and still continue to be as popular as before.

Did you ever have a favorite restaurant that you loved, but then one day you found a big 'ol hair in your mouth after taking a bite of food? You never get over that do you? You never forget how disgusting it was to have that big 'ol hair in your mouth. That restaurant isn’t your favorite anymore, is it?

Well it’s the same with entertainers. I loved “The Shawshank Redemption,” but I can’t watch it anymore without thinking about Tim Robbins’ Bush Bashing. So I don’t. I don’t watch ‘ER’ or listen to the Dixie Chicks either. We all lose.

Pavlov

To Serve Man

I'm shocked!.. Somebody has made a movie with a political message.
(Spoiler: It's not Pro-Bush)

Even though this guy doesn't give it a great review, he finds it useful to take a swipe at the current administration.
"V for Vendetta opens by whisking us through a brief history of the next several years in which the "former United States" is ravaged by disease and civil war and England is now in the hands of an Orwellian government that restricts pretty much everything...

The central problem is that the world we currently live in has overwhelmed this film's conjured future. We don't need a movie to speculate on what it's like to live in a world driven crazy with fear by chaos and violence or the way that fear could be used to exploit and oppress us. We already live in that world. It's as if the Wachowski brothers have made their 1984, only they've released it in 1985."
Just imagine if somebody dared to make a movie or television show that portrayed the Bush administration in a good light. I'll bet there would be protests and calls for boycotts. People would be screaming about "thought control" and "propaganda".

But these deluded people will keep making movies and television shows like this while fewer and fewer people will pay to see them. Their circle of friends, associates and investors will become smaller and smaller. Of couse, they will see this as "oppression", when in fact they will have created a futuristic world of their own that fits perfectly into their view of reality.
It's a self fulfilling prophecy.

Wake up Hollywood. There is no Tooth Fairy. It is no longer 1966.
It is the year 2006, and there are still no flying cars or weather control or a benevolent race of beings dedicated to "Peace, Love and Understanding".
Gene Roddenberry was wrong! Get over it!

Instead we find ourselves caught up in World War Three, fighting a race of killers who use technology against us but hide in caves and mud huts.
These are the people who want to oppress you. These are the people who want to bend you to their will, return you to the middle ages and control your freedom of expression and freedom of the press. They want to control your religion and every aspect of your life.
These people are your enemies, not George W. Bush.

Video Killed The Infidel Radio Star

In honor of St. Patrick's Day I will refer to a couple stories from our
friends over at Little Green Footballs.

The first story is about a conservative student newspaper in Berkeley, California called The California Patriot. Having more guts than your average bigtime American newspaper or magazine, they have chosen to risk their necks and re-publish the infamous Muhammad cartoons "to show our solidarity with the Danish people and our support for free speech."

In a sorta related story, The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) TV Monitor Project has a video clip of Egyptian performer Sha'ban Abd Al-Rahim that includes his hit music video about the cartoons.

Not exactly Tom Jones, is he...

I'd rate the song a FIVE. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it.

But I just don't understand the words. The English subtitles help a little,
but I was distracted by all the images and the artsy Arabic writing
floating around in the background.

Now I don't claim to read Arabic, but somehow this video still shot I managed to capture looks a bit like a subliminal anti-semetic message to me.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

There Goes The Neighborhood...

Sure they want to have our border be more secure, but they just don't want to have to look at it all the time.

Since 9/11, the Border Patrol has more than quadrupled its previous force of agents along a 309-mile stretch of border between Washington's Cascade Mountain range and Glacier National Park in Montana. But the neighbors of a proposed new U.S. Border Patrol station in Idaho say they don't want the building near them.

You can't have it both ways people. Security means having more security people to enforce it. Or would you rather just have them close your border crossing into Canada permanently and build a really big wall? We've had a bunch of Border Patrol people move in around here too, and I like it.

There's a story making the rounds about a Norwegian woman who turned on her kitchen faucet and was surprised to find that, instead of water, she was getting beer. 'Miracle Beer'.

It turns out that somehow her water lines got mixed up with the lines that fed beer to the tavern that she lives above. But whatever the explanation, to me it's just more proof that the Lord works in mysterious ways. And that He has a sense of humor too.

Are We Clear?

First it was the Danish cartoons of Muhammad that got people in an uproar.
Now it’s the Comedy Central cartoon “South Park”.

Isaac Hayes has been the voice of the beloved character ‘Chef’ for the
last nine years. But recently the creators of the show decided to make
an episode
that made light of the so-called religion of Scientology.
Isaac Hayes is a member of Scientology. Now he’s mad and has quit the show.

But at least he hasn’t started killing everyone who is not a Scientologist cartoon voiceover artist. At least not yet. I’m sure the creators of the show feel bad about this. Right? But knowing the show as I do, I’m looking forward to the episode soon where the boys will have reason to exclaim,
"They killed Chef!.. You Bastards!"

Hat Tip: Roger L. Simon at Pajamas Media

3/14 UPDATE: "South Park" co-creator Matt Stone responded sharply in an interview with The Associated Press Monday, saying, "This is 100 percent having to do with his faith of Scientology... He has no problem - and he's cashed plenty of checks - with our show making fun of Christians."

What About Bob?..

That's it... We're Toast

We've received our "last warning" from al Qaeda.
Some dude calling himself "Rakan Ben Williams, Al-Qaeda under cover soldier, USA", has issued this latest threat to America. The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has the translated version.

This warning is full of vague hints as to what we should expect, and how we will be 'brought to our knees'. Here are a few quotes:
"If some members of your Congress and Senate are being used as Jewish tools manipulated by Israel, why do you bear the consequences? Why do you bring death and destruction to your homes and lives in an apparent sacrifice for a handful of dishonest men and women?"
But I noticed one paragraph toward the end of the threat that seems to indicate even al Qaeda has lost respect for the MSM:
"Rid yourselves of media crafters who deliberately kept you in the dark for so long and made a mockery of you before the rest of the world. Boycott NBC news and dismiss its Jewish CEO, Fred Silverman. Do the same to INC news and fire its Jewish owner, Leonard Goldstein, the same is true for CBS and its owner William Bailey. Find credible media outlets that bring nothing to you but facts. Unfortunately you won’t find any in your country. Do you know why? What Would Dan Do?

Dan Rather quit his job at CBS one year ago.
This following his disgrace by getting caught trying to undermine President Bush's military record with fake documents.

Today CBS took a giant step in the right direction when they aired a factual story on 60 Minutes about the Iraqi city of Tal Afar, and how it was taken over by al Qaeda. The 200,000 people of Tal Afar became prisoners in their homes.
"They used Tal Afar as a base to train insurgents and launch attacks around Iraq. Last September, U.S. and Iraqi forces set out to recapture Tal Afar, and as Lara Logan reports, the Bush administration is pointing to that operation as a model for how to fight and win the rest of the war."
Back in February, The Mudville Gazette blog posted a letter from the Mayor of Tall 'Afar, Iraq to the men and women of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment and their families, thanking them.
"God bless this brave Regiment; God bless the families who dedicated these brave men and women. From the bottom of our hearts we thank the families. They have given us something we will never forget." Read the whole letter

Col McMaster in Tall Afar with (from left to right) Mayor Najim,
Col Khalid (Mosul Emergency Battalion) and BG Saba (Tall Afar Police Chief),
among others.

I'm happy that CBS has done the right thing in covering this positive story.
Let's hope this signals a sea change in how the War on Terror is covered now
that self absorbed blowhards like Dan Rather are being put out to pasture.

Chicks Dig It

There is a new Harris Poll out that shows the Military is still the most-admired U.S. institution. No surprise there. But there's also another news story today that the Military is being picky about who they want to recruit. The headline reads "Military Shuns Many of Recruiting Age.” This story is nothing new to people who pay attention. The Marines have always said they were looking for "a few good men,” not a bunch of lazy punks or drugged up whiners.

So why the news story? Why use the word 'shuns' in the headline? Do I see a lawsuit from the ACLU looming in the future? They sued the Boy scouts to try and let pedophiles stay in as scout leaders. Are there some chubby couch potatoes out there who want to graduate from Nintendo and play with real guns to impress the girls?

Not too long ago some people were worried that our evil leader was going to reinstate the draft. Are they now feeling like that geeky kid who never gets picked for the team? I don't remember anybody ever having the call sign "Wheezer" painted on the side of his fighter jet.

Remember the saying, "No Guts, No Glory.” Nobody ever said Glory was one of your rights. Glory, like respect, has to be earned. You want to get some?... Then go get your ass in shape, clean up your act, go out and find a recruiter and sign up to serve your country. Glory, just like Freedom, is never Free.

I Support The Troops

While surfing the net this morning, I stumbled across the Blue Star Blogroll published by Beth over at The Blue Star Chronicles.

Having our son serve a year in Iraq with the 81st Brigade of the Washington ARMY National Guard made us very aware of the history and meaning of the Blue Star Service Banner.

The Blue Star Service Banner was designed and patented in 1917 by World War I Army Capt. Robert L. Queissner of the 5th Ohio Infantry who had two sons serving on the front line. It quickly became the unofficial symbol of a child in the service. On Sept. 24, 1917, an Ohio congressman read the following into the Congressional Record: "…The mayor of Cleveland, the Chamber of Commerce and the governor of Ohio have adopted this service flag. The world should know of those who give so much for liberty. The dearest thing in all the world to a father and mother - their children."
I decided to add The Bodie Specter to the Blue Star Blogroll to show my support for the troops as well as my pride in my son and his service to our country.

Black Like Me?

The left is always trying to make people think that the right is 'racist'.
They said Bush tried to kill the blacks in New Orleans by blowing up the levees, etc. etc. But whenever you try to point out that Bush has more people of color (Powell, Rice, Gonzales, etc.) in his administration than Bill "America's First Black President" Clinton ever did, they try to make those black conservatives out as some freaks of nature, Uncle Toms, or worse.

So now that former domestic policy adviser Claude Allen has been charged with a crime, the left is pouncing on this story as proof that this is to be expected "When Black Republicans Go Bad".
"Maybe black Republicans are like transvestites? Transvestites affect a hyper-femininity, their nails are always perfect, their bags always match their shoes. In the same way, many black Republicans, it seems, affect a "hyper-whiteness,"
Nevermind that Allen's arrest came as a complete surprise to everyone, his friends, his family, his church and even to President Bush. They'll just say that this is more proof that Bush is clueless.

Bear in mind that nobody in the Bush administration has tried to cover this up or make excuses for Allen. Black or brown, yellow or white... if you do the crime, you will do the time. Unless of course you are friends of the left.

But maybe this story is not so much about how 'Black' Claude Allen is.
Maybe it's really more about how 'Red' he is.

Where is Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton now? Where is the black outrage?
Isn't Allen worthy of their defense just as Tookie was?
Just how black's a brotha gotta be?

Or maybe justice really IS color blind.

Who Wrote The Book Of Love?

If you draw a cartoon of Muhammad, you get the death sentence.
But if you write a book and then make a movie that leads people
to believe that Jesus was not who the bible says he is, then the
Catholic Church goes postal and puts up a website and makes a DVD. U.S. Catholic bishops have launched a website designed to debunk claims made in the "Da Vinci Code" book and upcoming movie with Tom Hanks.

You think maybe that Scientology or the Mormons are next?

Re-Reporting For Duty .

The Boston Globe is reporting that John Kerry is ready to run for President again in 2008. Is he really the best they have to offer? Do they think everything that made him so easy to beat a few years ago will be forgotten by the next election? Is there really that much money to be made in Botox? And why on earth does he keep taking advice from this guy?

A "Mane" Lobster... get it?...

Furry 'lobster' found in Pacific
Marine biologists have discovered a crustacean in the South Pacific that resembles a lobster or crab covered in what looks like silky fur.

The animal's pincers are covered with sinuous, hair-like strands. It seems to reside around some Pacific deep sea hydrothermal vents, which spew out fluids that are toxic to many animals.
Creepy!.. Kinda reminds me of the Morlocks in the 1960 version of The Time Machine.

Jimmy Cracks More, And I Don't Care

Carter was in Seattle for a building dedication at the University of Washington in honor of William H. Foege, who directed the national Centers for Disease Control during Carter's presidency.

But he just couldn't keep his big yap shut about the war in Iraq. He's still pissed off that those pesky Iranian students took those American embassy hostages and made a monkey out of him, showing the whole world how powerless he was, and still is. He was clueless then, and he remains so today.

Carter Blasts Iraq War During Seattle Visit
"It was a completely unnecessary war. It was an unjust war," said Carter, the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize winner. "It was initiated on the basis of false pretenses. All of those are true, but we can't just preemptively withdraw."

"The violence is increasing monthly," Carter said. "My prayer is we'll see some kind of democracy eventually evolve."
So once again, the enemies of America get a morale boost from 'ol peanutbutter-for-brains.

Dumb and Dumber...

Former Black Panther Aaron Dixon to run for Senate
Aaron Dixon, a black community activist and icon of Seattle's political left for nearly 40 years, is running for the U.S. Senate, posing what could be a potent threat to Democratic Sen. Maria Cantwell's chances for re-election.

Some liberals are angry at Cantwell for having voted for the 2002 Iraq war resolution, the USA Patriot Act and the 2005 Central American Free Trade Agreement.
This is the direction the Dems are going, further to the left with every election. Just look at their leadership! Geeez! But hey!... when you pick a team, you better know who you're in bed with. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend", and now he's running against me!

This Guy Has To Go

(AP) - Iran threatened the United States with "harm and pain" Wednesday for its role in hauling Tehran before the U.N. Security Council over its nuclear program.
"I think that provocative statements and actions only further isolate Iran from the rest of the world": White House press secretary Scott McClellan

John Bolton, America's ambassador to the United Nations, said Iran's comments showed how much of a menace it was. "Their threats show why leaving a country like that with a nuclear weapon is so dangerous"

Tearing Islam A New One...

One of the hottest things on the internet right now is a video clip of Arab-American psychologist Wafa Sultan which was aired on Al-Jazeera TV on February 21, 2006. She pulls no punches as she spells out just how stupid it is for Radical Muslims to attack anyone and anything that does not fit into their narrow world view.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has the video, and you can watch the video clip yourself ( But it's in Arabic with English subtitles )
or you can read the transcript here.

Here's a sample:
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Khouli: Are you a heretic?... If you are a heretic, there is no point in rebuking you, since you have blasphemed against Islam, the Prophet, and the Koran...

Wafa Sultan: Brother, you can believe in stones, as long as you don't throw them at me. You are free to worship whoever you want, but other people's beliefs are not your concern...
Finally somebody is standing up to these pinheads and calling a spade a spade. And it's a WOMAN! If only there were MEN out there with the same amount of courage.

Katrina Overhaul

Where should you turn when you want to know what's happening in the world around you? Or what was the cause of a disaster? Should you watch a movie made by some biased clown who wants to re-write history? Should you turn to the network news? HA! No, when you want it done right, call a good mechanic.

POPULAR MECHANICS editors and reporters spent more than four months interviewing officials, scientists, first responders and victims in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Their March issue cover story debunks many of the myths that have been drilled into our heads by the main stream media that only wants to cover the bad news. Here's just a sample:
MYTH: "The aftermath of Katrina will go down as one of the worst abandonments of Americans on American soil ever in U.S. history."--Aaron Broussard, president, Jefferson Parish, La., Meet the Press, NBC, Sept. 4, 2005

REALITY: Bumbling by top disaster-management officials fueled a perception of general inaction, one that was compounded by impassioned news anchors. In fact, the response to Hurricane Katrina was by far the largest--and fastest-rescue effort in U.S. history, with nearly 100,000 emergency personnel arriving on the scene within three days of the storm's landfall.

Nuke Iran Now

ABC News is reporting that there is evidence that the bombs being used to kill US troops in Iraq are being made in Iran.

The report is scheduled to air on this evening’s World News Tonight.
"I think the evidence is strong that the Iranian government is making these IEDs, and the Iranian government is sending them across the border and they are killing U.S. troops once they get there," says Richard Clarke, former White House counterterrorism chief and an ABC News consultant. "I think it's very hard to escape the conclusion that, in all probability, the Iranian government is knowingly killing U.S. troops."

"Tehran's intention to inflict pain on the United States and Iraq has been constrained by its caution to avoid giving Washington an excuse to attack it."
And this is a report by ABC, not FOX! If it is Iran killing our troops then we should declare War on Iran now and blow the S%#t out of them.

Did You Ever Notice...

Why is it, whenever you try to search for anything on Google, those annoying people at eBay like to jump in there on the right hand side of your screen and offer to sell one to you, sometimes for less.

Now let me be clear... I was NOT trying to buy a "Dictator"... but when I Googled the word, eBay offered to sell one to me.

This got me to thinking, so I decided to see what else they were willing to sell to me. I found that if you are in the market for "Chewed Gum" or "Crack Pipes", eBay's got 'em. Try it for yourself.

Now, I need a piece of 'chewed gum' like I need a hole in the head,...
but eBay claims to have a "hole in the head" in stock just in case.

Peepole Hoo Nead Peepole...

This is priceless!
Barbra Streisand has posted another opinion of President Bush on her website. She also goes out of her way to belittle his education, or lack thereof.
The funny thing is that Babs is so full of herself that she doesn't seem to notice or care that she made several spelling mistakes of her own.

Jeff at Beautiful Atrocities has all the details in his post
"BARBRA STREISAND STILL HASN'T FOUND THE SPELL-CHEQ"
"Over the last 5 years, Bush's leadership has resembled that of a dictatorship. The arrogance of this C student [Bush has Harvard MBA, Streisand has high-school education] who maligns his opponents’ crediblity [sic] by calling them flip floppers, is the biggest flip flopper himself! When debating Al Gore during the 2000 presidential elections, Bush spoke against nation building, yet went into Irag [sic] a year later [sic] to national build [sic]…"
Bwahahahaha! Stoopid selebritties can't even spill!

What should we expect from someone who can't even spell 'Barbara'?

Can't Touch This!...

President Bush just had a very successful trip to India. (Read this and this).
But you would never know that by the American media coverage that would rather focus on the protesting. He next flew on to Pakistan for another visit, since they are also an ally in the War on Terror. We got some more protest coverage from there.

But there are some people in American media that sound a bit upset that nobody has managed to kill the President yet. I mean, they keep trying to tell the bad guys his every move, but somehow 'W' keeps dodging them... and it's starting to piss people like MSNBC's Chris Matthews off.

"President Bush arrived in Pakistan “like a drug dealer...under cover of night," according to MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. On Friday’s Hardball.

Later, Matthews asked ex-Clinton aide David Gergen and security expert Roger Cressey about the heavy security surrounding Bush’s visit. Matthews asked Cressey: “This is extraordinary, isn’t it?”

Cressey replied that “it’s typical for what happens when you bring the President into a very high risk country, very similar to what we did when President Clinton went into Pakistan in 2000.” Matthews cut him off: “But he’s coming in like a drug dealer" Read More

You need more proof that these people are nuts?

I Got Your Oscar Right Here!..

Remember when The Academy Awards show was a fun show to watch? Back when we didn't know all the creepy little details of celebrities lives and when we didn't know, because they didn't tell us, what their political views were?

Those days are long gone. Today 'The Oscars' is just one more way for these freaks of humanity to stroke themselves and their giant egos, and also let the rest of us puny mortals know what they think, or more importantly, what WE should think.

Based on the nominations, we're getting a pretty good idea of how it's going to go down again this year,

Charles Krauthammer spells it out for us in his column, titled "Syriana feeds our enemies hatred".
Nothing tells you more about Hollywood than what it chooses to honor. Nominated for best foreign film is "Paradise Now,'' a sympathetic portrayal of two suicide bombers. Nominated for best picture is "Munich,'' a sympathetic portrayal of yesterday's fashion in barbarism: homicide terrorism.
Hollywood is like a giant bubble where nobody has to care what the outside world thinks. They just go about their special lives doing their thing and saying whatever they want whenever they want. They have their little parties and award shows and find affirmation in the fact that everyone around them thinks the same way. It's a lot like the colony of bacteria that lives in my toilet bowl. I wish somebody would pull the handle.

Pappy Gets His Due .

I wrote earlier about how the University of Washington had voted to NOT honor former alumnus and WWII hero 'Pappy' Boyington. But the Washington State Senate has voted to do what the weenies at the UW would not:
OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The state Senate has passed a resolution to honor World War II hero Gregory "Pappy" Boyington, just weeks after the University of Washington student Senate shot down a measure to honor the UW alumnus.- Read More
While I'm happy to see Pappy finally get some respect, I'm a bit concerned that our politicians may have him confused with somebody else.
"We wanted to give Pappy Boyington the honor he deserves," said Democratic floor leader Tracey Eide, D-Federal Way. "His show was one of my all-time favorites. He was one of our all-time heroes."
"His SHOW???"
